Quiet Week

The past several weeks as well as the weekend there has always been something going on. People have been over the apartment so much. Really it's been like this for a while. My fiance said Sunday night (after a long day watching football with friends) "Let's not do anything this week....I just want to chill" I usually have my sister over once a week (sometimes she comes twice and with her friend/boyfriend) And another friend comes over once a week (or twice and her boyfriend is my fiance's good friend....so well all hang out as well) And then throw in a random visit of someone else and it seems like everyday there is not down time to relax. I don't mind having company and cooking dinners and stuff but I guess my fiance was exhausted and wanted a week off. I didn't mind a week off. But It was weird I felt like I had to make up an excuse to people. I just said we can't do it this week.....let's get together next week. No one really asked any questions. My fiance said "you can blame me, I don't mind being the bad guy. " So the past few days have been really quiet. Feels kind of weird to not have any plans the rest of the week. Feels good but feels weird at the same time. We have been watching TV....The DVR is great! Lots of shows because new seasons are starting up.
I've been obsessed with playing my fiance's Nintendo DS. Mario Bros Mini games....There is a game kind of like a where's waldo but you have to find mario, luigi, wario or yoshi in a crowd. It's so addicting. The fiance also doesn't like me playing the DS too much because he is super competitive and hates when he sees I beat all his high scores!

Went to a jewelry party over the weekend and bought a necklace. I really should not have spent ANY money but I couldn't resist. I only bought the necklace. It was not expensive. The jewelry is from a company called cookie lee....It is inexpensive...nothing is over $48. The necklace is really nice (it's different but cool) and I can't wait to get it...hopefully later in the week. Can't find a picture of it.....will take one when I get it.

I think I am going to try to do some organizing this week. As bad as it sounds I still have some boxes around from moving in June. Most stuff is away but there is still a few things that have no place. We have a better apartment condition wise than we did....but we don't have as much closet and storage space. I'm sure I won't get much done because organizing seems like a good idea but then I don't actually get to do all I intend to lol. My friend is having a garage sale in a few weeks...I think I will try to get some stuff together for it. Had sold some stuff in a garage sale earlier this month (first garage sale ever) and I got some cash for getting rid of stuff I never used or barely used. But I am such a pack rat I have so much more I should get rid of. I was actually organized because when I moved in June I packed up stuff separately that I wanted to sell because I had talked of doing a garage sale with my friend. It was a perfect opportunity to get stuff together. But I really hate to part with things!!!!!! My fiance actually laughed after the first garage sale I came home with a few little things from my friend (I didn't pay for it). She had these cute magnets she never used that I wanted lol.

Well I'm off to bed!!!!

The waiting drove me mad...
you're finally here and I'm a mess
I take your entrance back...
cant let you roam inside my head

Taco, Brownie and Nut Clusters

The past few days have been pretty cool. Cooked dinner last night for my sister, her friend/boyfriend, my other friend Donna and my fiance of course. Made Tacos which were yummy. Really wasn't a complicated recipe. Bought a bunch of ground beef and those convenient taco kits. But I do enjoy having people enjoy dinners I make....whether complicated or not. I have been cooking for quite a few years now but my fiance eats like a 10 year old picky child so the "recipes" I make mostly consist of foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, very plain and generic foods. My fiance is a meat and potato kind of guy. He eats very few vegetables (Green Beans-french cut, Corn, Peas-which I guess is better than nothing). Whenever he gets fast food he only wants the meat and cheese. I hate ordering with him or for him. I on the other hand eat pretty much anything and love veggies. I would be more adventurous with cooking but it doesn't make sense to do for myself. My sister's friend/boyfriend made really awesome brownies.....and we had vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Yum Yum....Brownie sundae! The bad thing is I still have 4 brownies left here and I know I'm eating them all!

Also saw 2 movies over the past few days.....saw Revolutionary Road and Last house on the left (My fiance kept joking that we live in the last house on the left lol)I liked the movie. Talking with some friends about it....they thought it was one of those kind of slow and boring type of movies. Not terrible but just kind of blah. But I liked it.
Last house on the left I watched with everyone after my taco dinner. It was a good horror type of movie. There was a few graphic type scences, blood.....the norm for that type of movie. My fiance and friend seemed a little sensitive to some of it. I am really not bothered by movies with crazy blood and gore.....I can be eating and someone gets a head cut off and it doesn't make my stomach turn in the least lol. But I can't stand watching anything happen to animals in movies....people ok.....animals no! Marley and me and in I am legend with Will Smith! Can't see animals get hurt or die....just can't!!!!! The tears don't stop!
And speaking of movies one of my top five fave movies was on HBO again Grey Gardens!I love love love this movie. Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange are wonderful actresses to begin with. This movie may not be for everyone and seem a little weird to some. My fiance had walked in while I was watching it once and looked at the TV for a few and said "What the F are you watching?" But I knew he would never watch so I never would ask. Trying to get my sister and a few friends to watch it before I have raved about it but don't know If they will love it like me. I don't know why I am so drawn to it. Maybe part of it is because the house Grey Gardens is on Long Island (where I live) In the hamptons (I don't live in the hamptons though lol)

I recently tried these new Roasted Almond Nut clusters from Nature Valley. I LOVE THEM. Have had like two bags in fours days lol. About half a bag a day. It's granola, almonds and honey. It's crunchy and yummy. I feel somewhat ok eating them because it's nuts and nuts and granola are good for you. It's all natural.....That what I tell myself lol.

New at this

Just decided to start a blog. Have thought about it for a while and I have some blogs I bookmarked and I check on often. Turned 30 recently (WOW seems soooo weird to type that out) and im engaged to a great guy MK. I really don't feel old and feel like 30 is not much different that 29. My life has its ups and downs and I like having an outlet to maintain my sanity. I'm hoping to connect with other bloggers and make friends along the way. I am going to share alot about my life but certain names and details with have to stay anonymous.

I'm actually alone.... probably until late tonight my fiance is spending some time with a cousin who lives out of state. I'm about to have some ice cream (i'm craving ice cream so bad.....I crave it like everyday!) and watch a chick flick.....I think I saw that First Wives Club is on! Yayyyy I've only seen it about 50 plus times lol

Woo hoo saturday night at the age 30 is off the hook! LOL Actually I don't care I like nights like this. :)
