Taco, Brownie and Nut Clusters

The past few days have been pretty cool. Cooked dinner last night for my sister, her friend/boyfriend, my other friend Donna and my fiance of course. Made Tacos which were yummy. Really wasn't a complicated recipe. Bought a bunch of ground beef and those convenient taco kits. But I do enjoy having people enjoy dinners I make....whether complicated or not. I have been cooking for quite a few years now but my fiance eats like a 10 year old picky child so the "recipes" I make mostly consist of foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, very plain and generic foods. My fiance is a meat and potato kind of guy. He eats very few vegetables (Green Beans-french cut, Corn, Peas-which I guess is better than nothing). Whenever he gets fast food he only wants the meat and cheese. I hate ordering with him or for him. I on the other hand eat pretty much anything and love veggies. I would be more adventurous with cooking but it doesn't make sense to do for myself. My sister's friend/boyfriend made really awesome brownies.....and we had vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Yum Yum....Brownie sundae! The bad thing is I still have 4 brownies left here and I know I'm eating them all!

Also saw 2 movies over the past few days.....saw Revolutionary Road and Last house on the left (My fiance kept joking that we live in the last house on the left lol)I liked the movie. Talking with some friends about it....they thought it was one of those kind of slow and boring type of movies. Not terrible but just kind of blah. But I liked it.
Last house on the left I watched with everyone after my taco dinner. It was a good horror type of movie. There was a few graphic type scences, blood.....the norm for that type of movie. My fiance and friend seemed a little sensitive to some of it. I am really not bothered by movies with crazy blood and gore.....I can be eating and someone gets a head cut off and it doesn't make my stomach turn in the least lol. But I can't stand watching anything happen to animals in movies....people ok.....animals no! Marley and me and in I am legend with Will Smith! Can't see animals get hurt or die....just can't!!!!! The tears don't stop!
And speaking of movies one of my top five fave movies was on HBO again Grey Gardens!I love love love this movie. Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange are wonderful actresses to begin with. This movie may not be for everyone and seem a little weird to some. My fiance had walked in while I was watching it once and looked at the TV for a few and said "What the F are you watching?" But I knew he would never watch so I never would ask. Trying to get my sister and a few friends to watch it before I have raved about it but don't know If they will love it like me. I don't know why I am so drawn to it. Maybe part of it is because the house Grey Gardens is on Long Island (where I live) In the hamptons (I don't live in the hamptons though lol)

I recently tried these new Roasted Almond Nut clusters from Nature Valley. I LOVE THEM. Have had like two bags in fours days lol. About half a bag a day. It's granola, almonds and honey. It's crunchy and yummy. I feel somewhat ok eating them because it's nuts and nuts and granola are good for you. It's all natural.....That what I tell myself lol.
